As experienced investors in the manufacturing sector, CHS saw the trend toward outsourcing non-core functions first hand. Through our portfolio investments, we investigated the emerging business services sector and in March of 1998, made our first business services investment.

Business services companies often operate in immature markets where high fragmentation and rapid growth present consolidation opportunities for industry leaders. We target companies with outstanding management teams and customers whose dependence on outsourced services is growing. We work closely with management to extend capabilities and market reach organically and through acquisitions.
